Our Story

It began with four friends, with a passion for natural habitats, bees and other pollinators, chatting in a pub in Kent's Elham Valley.

With a small investment and a huge amount of hard work, Bee Friendly Seeds, as it was known, was born in 2012.

We designed the packets and started selling our British Wildflower seed gift packets, each one cut out by hand in the early days!

Our Mission

We are passionate about pollinators, native wildflowers

and British wildlife habitats, so we ensure that our products are eco-friendly and ethical.

We use only UK seed suppliers who are as dedicated as we are to providing the best seed possible. We sell native British wildflower seed, grown in the UK.

Every element of our production is sourced within the UK and as locally to Kent as possible, seeds, printing, finishing, packing. All our products originate from Elham.

We pride ourselves on producing sustainable, quality gift product that will make a difference to the bees, butterflies and make a beautiful habitat for us all.

Our Future

We learn more every day about bees, butterflies and other pollinators and how to support their depleted habitats.

We have developed a new butterfly seed mix unique to us with this in mind..

We are excited to have now launched our Bug Friendly seed mix, perfectly suited to these forgotten pollinating insects. It's created following the latest pollinator research and is a perfect fit with our other seed mixes.

We are members of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust,  the Butterfly Conservation Charity and Plantlife who provide invaluable resources for those interested in native wild flowers and our pollinating insects.
