ABOUT US​

 

By a sad twist of fate, we have become the proud custodians of the Friendly Seed Company Ltd.

Julia and Richard our co-founders died in 2020, leaving us as the remaining directors of Friendly Seed Company Limited. These have been challenging times that have focussed our minds on our key objectives as we look to the future.

Our roots are in the Elham Valley in the beautiful Kent North Downs countryside. We feel we are bringing a little of this natural landscape to the gardens and window boxes where our seeds will be planted.

​

Natural habitats are so precious and are disappearing at an alarming rate. Without wildflowers in our verges, meadows and gardens our insect pollinators can't thrive.

 

We are members of the wildlife charities Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Butterfly Conservation and Plantlife, all amazing organisations dedicated to preserving pollinators and their native habitats.

We are personal members of the RHS which is a fabulous resource, particularly the RHS Plants for Pollinators Wildflowers list. Please click on the logos here to find out more about them.

Native flowers are so beautiful and precious, we love working to preserve them.
